The Club
The
Stars FC were formed early in the year 2002, affiliated to Liverpool County
FA, and playing in the St Helens combination Premier Division.
Under the supervision of Manager George Oakes, Assistant Manager Barry Hines and Physiotherapist Ste Fenney they had a very successful first season.
The Stars is more than just a successful team and regards itself as a club with many social events organised throughout the year by the management committee.
As Team Manager George Oakes says "The Stars FC is a club that prides itself on professionalism and good performance, and we hope that the Sportmans Dinner in May 2003 is a reflection of the high standards of enjoyment that we aim for" he continues " a special thanks to all our sponsors and particularly the Seven Stars Pub for all the support we have received throughout our first season".
The Pub
The Seven Stars is a popular pub situated in Eccleston. The management team of
Anthony and Tracy Hull are very proud of their achievements since taking over
the Seven Stars Over two years ago - and so they should be.
The Seven Stars is also becoming an increasingly popular eating establishment.
With excellent value for money on all food and drinks and an excellent choice
of many dishes including vegetarian for those who prefer. It is worth trying
next time you eat out.
The Seven Stars is extremely popular with the locals as it screens all major
sporting events so that you need not miss a minute of the action while you are
enjoying a pint. If t you are interested in sport and games yourself, the Seven
Stars also boasts a Football Team, Pool Team Darts Team and Dominoes Team.
